Hi! I’m David,
Putting the world to rights and thoughts on Lifestyle, Hidden Disabilities & Mental Health, plus much more.
Hello, my name is David Di Palma.
I am in my fifties and have always felt like I do not belong in any specifically defined group. I have often asked myself 'Where do I belong?'
We are all unique, do not allow anyone to tell you otherwise.
I wouldn’t consider myself as normal, how does one define ‘normal’?
I am certainly a ‘conformist’ in respect of following and abiding with the law.
I stand up for what I believe in & support others less fortunate than myself.
I write, I do not expect everyone to neither agree nor disagree with my views, but, if our views differ, I will reasonably expect you to respect my views as I would yours. To date I have written three books, the first being in 2006.
I am artistic in other ways too; I believe in Freedom Of Expression regardless of the format one is using to express oneself. I do not expect others to neither like nor understand my art, but to respect ones art, as I would yours.
I consider myself a ‘Lateral Thinker’. I am a survivor, as you are. We are all survivors in different contexts.
I became bored with Social Media platforms in respect of promoting my work and with providing you with an insight into my complex disability, a lifelong disability that requires 24hr support. Support Workers assist me with my needs.
This website is also a memory aid to assist me with my memory issues, memory issues are just one element of my disability.
My aim is to inspire you, If I can do it, you can too.
If you have any questions, please do get in touch.
My name is David Di Palma, I am a Survivor & Proud.
