Part Time Personal Assistant/Support Worker
£11 per hour
Ten hours per week. Hours to be discussed further at interview.

Six hours early evenings – Monday, Thursday, and Friday plus
Saturday or Sunday 10am – 2pm (Alternating)
We are seeking a proactive, Personal Assistant/Support Worker to join our established, dynamic, support team.
Working ten hours per week including six hours early evenings (two hours Monday, Thursday, and Friday) and Saturday or Sunday for four hours, typically 10.00 to 14.00.

Additional hours may be offered for covering team members’ holidays and sickness.
Working predominately on a one-to-one basis your duties will be varied.
Experience preferred; In-house training can be provided.
You will be working for D, an active, intelligent, middle aged man, with hidden disabilities.
D requires social, domestic, and statutory safeguarding support.
D uses aids to assist with his balance and requires prompting support from a PA/Support Worker. The successful applicant must be perceptive, pro-active, flexible, and willing to learn new skills.
D has a wide range of interests, which include shopping, cinema, fish keeping, dog walking, gardening, and supervised fitness. The tasks are varied. D requires a lot of prompts and visual supervision. The required prompts include sequencing, & support with a variety of tasks.
The Personal Assistant/Support Worker must be able to follow guidelines, instructions, and protocols, be an excellent communicator, problem solver and ‘ideas generator’.

The Personal Assistant/Support Worker must be confident, have an outgoing personality and must be very comfortable working around two, small, very friendly dogs.
The Personal Assistant/Support Worker will receive a pay rate of £11 per hour and will receive statutory holiday entitlement subject to terms and conditions.
The Personal Assistant/Support Worker must be fit and active and have an interest in outdoor activities.
The Personal Assistant/Support Worker will predominately be based at D’s home in the LE3 area,
within the District of Blaby.
The Personal Assistant/Support Worker must be over the age of twenty-five for motor insurance purposes and hold a Full, Clean, UK/EU Driving Licence and be licensed to drive manual cars.
